This week, we caught up over our mutual screens to interview our Senior Producer Matt Kirby who many of our clients adore for his calm & warm nature but pure genius in production – he inspires all of us here at Veritas Events.

I have been with Veritas for 5 and half years but have had a long (20+ year) relationship having worked with them as a supplier in a past life.

I am a senior producer, and my role is all about helping clients produce fabulous, memorable, seamless events – virtual, physical and hybrid

I love working alongside very talented, hardworking people. We have a great team spirit here at Veritas Events.

I also love when you plan for certain “moments” in an event, and they play out perfectly – seeing the audiences and the client’s reaction.

Initially, it was a love of music and a career choice as an audio engineer that led me into corporate events but over time (as I have gotten older) it’s the constant things I learn when I sit at the back of a conference room about life, business, customers etc that keep inspiring me.

I have been so lucky and travelled all over the globe producing events. There is not one trip that stands out over another, but common to all of them is the fun we have in working with different cultures in amazing locations.

These days you need to think more about making the virtual experience as engaging as possible for the audience. You are competing against emails, zoom fatigue, television, and a host of other distractions, so you need your event to cut through.

I love to surf, and have recently expanded upon that and started standup-paddleboarding in the surf too.
