The Brief
We partnered with Volkswagen to deliver the Volkswagen Champions Incentive in Port Douglas, bringing together Champion Program winners for a three-day incentive experience designed to recognise performance and celebrate success from the previous 12 months.
The brief was to create a rewarding and memorable experience that felt special for both new and returning winners, while offering time to relax, connect and enjoy everything the destination had to offer.
The destination needed to strike the right balance between accessibility and escapism. It had to feel removed from everyday business life, while remaining easy to reach for delegates travelling from across the country. The experience also needed to offer enough variety to keep the program engaging across multiple days without feeling over-scheduled.
Execution
We designed a relaxed yet premium incentive program centred around Port Douglas, chosen for its tropical setting, proximity to a major flight hub in Cairns, and access to world-class natural experiences.
Over three days, delegates enjoyed time exploring the destination, dining at some of the town’s best venues, sampling fresh local produce and taking part in a sailing charter to a Great Barrier Reef island, where they learned about the region’s marine life. The program was intentionally paced to allow guests to unwind, connect and fully immerse themselves in the experience.
Every element of the program was curated to ensure guests felt valued, rewarded and genuinely looked after from arrival to departure.
Outcome
The Port Douglas Champions Incentive delivered a standout experience, with strong engagement and overwhelmingly positive feedback from both guests and organisers. Survey results reflected the success of the program, reinforcing the value of the experience as a meaningful reward for high performance.
The incentive strengthened relationships, celebrated achievement and continued to reinforce Volkswagen’s commitment to recognising excellence.
