798 Art District, China

An interesting area that event managers and event planners love in China is the 798 Art District, an area with an abundance and eclectic mix of art museums, gallery spaces, public art and a profusion of shops. Political, cultural, and economic combustion created 798s edgy, fascinating contemporary art scene and the area is currently undergoing another transformation as more young innovative furniture and fashion designers set up shop in the series of Bauhaus-inspired electronics factories and warehouses. Boutique fashion stores stock both local and international designers, and local jewellery and furniture designers have utilised the factory spaces to great effect in showcasing their wares. The site is home to a sprawling, disused, 50 year-old electronics factory built by East Germans that is now a melting point of creativity, earning it comparisons with New Yorks Greenwich Village. This is a perfect experience for your next incentive group. For any information about your next conference, incentive, product launch or board meeting or further abroad do not hesitate to get in touch. FBT The Hidden Costs of an Incentive Program

Veritas event clients are often surprised as to the potential costs added to an incentive program or conference through Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT). The days of ignoring, or not accounting sufficiently, for this tax are over with an increasingly sophisticated compliance system in place. For many event programs, the question is not whether FBT is applicable, rather how much tax will apply to the event. Veritas, with 20 years of experience delivering unique event experiences will be happy to relate their FBT experience to you (with qualification from your financial advisors) to cost your event accurately. For your conference, event or incentive group needs, contact Kieran Kennedy of Veritas on kieran.kennedy@veritas.com.au
