Christchurch Rebuilds

The New Zealand government has now announced the new Christchurch Convention Centre, as part of the Christchurch City Blueprint to rebuild the city. This is an important development if Christchurch and New Zealand is to continue winning international corporate events, special events and incentive trips. It is important that Christchurch continues to be attractive to the event industry world both for incentive trips and corporate events; this will provide the influx of funds, jobs and dollars to sustain the city long term. The New Zealand government has funded the development, with assistance from the council and hopefully the private sector. As this is an opportunity to literally start from scratch and develop a new city, the Prime Minister is suggesting that the private sector will ultimately play the biggest role in the development of Christchurchs central city. As we see Christchurch slowly rebuild it is an area to watch for event planners as there will be plenty of opportunities to run events. Increased Qantas domestic routes aid domestic conference travel

Qantas has announced it will be increasing capacity to Tasmania, adding 1,700 additional seats per week on its Melbourne-Tasmania services from the end of October. Hobart, Launceston and Davenport will all benefit from additional and upgraded services. The move will make event managers in Sydney and Melbourne happy, facilitating the transfer of large conference groups to Tasmania. Business events of up to a thousand people will soon be able to enjoy Tasmania much more easily. The Canberra business events market will also benefit from extra scheduled flights, opening up better opportunities for event planners looking at domestic conference groups.

Videoing your event

Here at Veritas Event Management Sydney it is vital that we capture the total event experience with high quality precision, whether it is for an incentive program overseas, or a corporate event in Australia.
