Something is happening to events in Uluru

As a child I remember looking at a photo of a great red rock in a land far, far away from the west of Ireland and I wondered would I ever go there? For me Uluru is one of the most unique event venues in the world. How many other locations can you go to where at an event you sit under the stars at a dinner, be thousands of miles from the sea and look into the heavens at a star scape that has remained unchanged for millions of years, looking into the greatest event of all the universe? The takeover of the Indigenous Land Council of the entire Ayers Rock Resort under the management of Voyages is one of the most significant occurrences in the Australian Meetings and Incentive industry to date. Every Australian company who holds events should hold a conference at Uluru. I was fortunate enough to go there in 2010 when a downpour on the rock brought cascading waterfalls down on us, it was to celebrate my wifes 50th birthday, an event that will remain with us for a long time. Under the waterfall I thought of my childhood and the photo, it was as if the rock welcomed me. Well done to Voyages and the Indigenous Land Council, the land has returned to its people and I will return to Uluru. Consider Uluru for your next event and support a great initiative in Australian, indeed, world events.

Weird & Wonderful Hotels: The Bloom Hotel

At Veritas Event Management we are always looking out for the weird and wonderful hotels of the world. We like to think outside the box and strive to make your next incentive or overseas event a special one. One hotel which comes to mind is the The Bloom Hotel in Brussels. This hotel opened April 2008, invited 287 creative young artists from different European countries to paint the rooms of the hotel and make it something unique for the guests. Now guests have theluxury to choose their own favourite room with a hand painted fresco on the wall by their own interpretation of the word bloom. One other nicety I liked about this hotel is that there is no dress codes, room service or bellboys. Bloom seeks delegates from incentives or corporate events that have an open mind and are prepared to do things differently. If you would like to do things a little differently for your next incentive or corporate event then why not consider The Bloom Hotel? Need help with planning your next incentive trip? Veritas on the French Riviera

Veritas recentlyorganised anAustralian top achievers incentive trip to France. The program started with 3 days in Paris, including a Segway tour around the iconic Champs Elyses and the Eiffel Tower. During theevening guests dined at the trendiest restaurants overlooking thecity. Remember, for an incentive group, special event or conference its all about creating a unique event experience. Dont do the safe and easy incentive program add in a measured risk and the rewards will flow through. Following Paristhe grouptravelled to the French Riviera and was blown away by a unique travel experience of a luxury sportscar driving experience taking in various stops and including official parts of the route of the Monte Carlo rally. The self driving tour meandered through the charming medieval village of Eze, where lunch was organized on a terrace overlooking the Mediterranean sea, up to the rocky Sainte Agns, offering a view up to the Italian borders. Their journey also took them through the busy Monaco city centre, 2 days before the Formula 1 Grand Prix our incentive group felt like stars as people were taking theirpicturein their exceptional cars! Leading Hotels of The World is a supplier Veritas partners with for our high end incentive and conference groups. Leading Hotels recommended the Royal Riviera Hotel at Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat and it did not disappoint, a superb hotel. Veritas truly achieved the aim of providing their client with a unique incentive group experience. Fundraising Events

Here at Veritas Event Management Sydney, we are often involved in organising corporate events or incentive trips for fundraising. Using an event is an extremely useful way in which to raise money for charity, and there are many ways to go about this (see The Fundraising Authority for some great ideas). Delegates can be entertained and feel good, while their money goes towards a worthy cause. This can also be done in conjunction with a team building activity.
