Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre

With the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre closing soon for refurbishment a lot of business will be moving to Melbourne. Veritas has been holding events at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre for a number of years now and would highly recommend the event space. This purpose designed facility has the ability to cater for large conferences, conventions, exhibitions, meetings, gala and special events. Not only is the space modern and flexible the operations team pre and onsite are a delight and one of thebestI have ever worked with. The attention to detail and response time with such a large event is crucial and they get it right every time. Should you want to talk to Veritas about venues and locations for your next event please contact Kieran Kennedy atKieran.kennedy@veritas.com.au

Dubai Mall: The perfect optional activity for your next conference

On my last trip overseas I had the dreaded 12 hour stop over in Dubai on my way to London. As tedious as this long stop over may sound, my friend and I made the most of it spending about 8 of these 12 hours in the amazing Dubai mall! It was when I was walking this maze of shops and waterfalls, exploring entire malls within the mall that my event manager inside kicked in. Dubai mall is the perfect location for optional conference activities. It has the largest aquarium inside a mall in the world, an ice-skating rink, a cinema, numerous sights to see including the amazing water show beginning at 6pm daily and of course a whole lot of shopping! Spoil your delegates to a visit to the largest, most amazing, most activity ridden mall imaginable.

Biarritz

Biarritz, close to the border of Spain in the south of France, is an ideal place for an incentive program. Biarritz enjoys great weather and temperatures, has beautiful beaches and still maintains all the traits that make France itself so special such as the glorious food and wine. As an event destination it really ticks all the boxes, and there is still plenty of luxurious options for your high end events. The Hotel du Palais in Biarritz offers such luxury and is ideal accommodation for any high end incentive program organised in Biarritz, as its location and facilities are beyond measure. To book your next event, contact Kieran Kennedy of Veritas Event Management at kieran.kennedy@veritas.com.au.

Lytro cameras are finally coming to Australia!

Good news, light field fans. After nine-odd months of burning, pining and perishing for the sexy Lytro light field camera, your wait is over - theyre coming to Australia on the 10th of October. For those not familiar with Lytro and why its such a big deal, heres what you need to know. Lytro is a rectangular prism-shaped camera that captures photos that you can focus after the fact. It captures the full spectrum of light in front of the lens so that no matter where you tap on the picture afterwards, you can refocus in incredible detail. That long body houses loads of tiny lenses which actually serve to break up the light as it hits the sensor so the processor, which normally was the size of a supercomputer five years ago, can disseminate and process the image. Whilst they may not be for everyone, the Lytro camera is going to change the way we think about taking photos, and as something new and fun, there is no doubt that these will make great gifts and prizes for all of our incentive programs and conference giveaways. We still might be a few years away from using them on all our conference and events, but you can be sure that one day you will see them! If you want to know more, contact Kieran Kennedy of Veritas on kieran.kennedy@veritas.com.au
